The Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea has awarded Co.L.Mar the supply and installation of a new tide gauge at Porto Mirabello in La Spezia.
The system will be used to monitor sea level variations and support dredging operations planned for the ports of La Spezia and Marina di Carrara. According to the Port Authority, the instrument will provide reliable real-time data to support bathymetric surveys and improve operational safety.
The tide gauge uses an OTT RLS radar sensor supplied by Corr-Tek and will be installed on the quay near the Porto Mirabello fuel pier. The project is part of the framework agreement signed in December 2024 between the Port Authority and Co.L.Mar for bathymetric survey services in the Gulf of La Spezia.
Bathymetric Surveys and Sea Level Monitoring
The installation of the new tide gauge is part of Co.L.Mar's activities dedicated to bathymetric and geophysical surveys, marine monitoring and technologies for offshore and port applications.
Co.L.Mar also develops advanced hydrophones, underwater acoustic sensors and custom acoustic systems used for marine monitoring, scientific research and maritime safety.
